Lecturer and Business Internship Coordinator
Ms. Theresa Clemente is Lecturer of Business and Business Internship Coordinator. With extensive work experience in marketing research and her family business, Ms. Clemente brings a wealth of knowledge to her students. She was the 2017 recipient of the George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching. She upholds a teaching philosophy of “bringing the classroom and the community together” by engaging with community partners through service learning projects, entrepreneurial events, and internships. Recent projects with the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and Invent Penn State involve her students collaborating with the Chamber on ways to engage entrepreneurs and students at the Wilkes-Barre Think Center. Also, her students prepared, executed, and evaluated an aggressive marketing campaign to educate and engage community constituents in the America’s Best Communities Competition. Along with teaching a variety of Marketing and Management classes on campus, Ms. Clemente has taught and edited courses for Penn State World Campus. Recently, she received a Teaching and Learning with Technology REACH Initiative grant. She serves as an Honors Coordinator and Adviser, and has taken embedded Honors course trips to Philadelphia, Hawaii and Key West, Florida. Additionally, she acts as Business Club Advisor. Ms. Clemente earned her bachelor of science degree from Immaculata University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Saint Joseph's University.
