Frank Koe, Ph.D., has held positions as Director of The Design Center at Philadelphia University, Vice President and Director of Restoration (an intrapreneurial venture he initiated) at Scalamandre where projects included The White House, restoration of the Andrew Johnson Suite in the US Department of Treasury, Washington, DC, and The Breakers, Rosecliff, and Marble House, properties operated by the Preservation Society of Newport County, Newport, Rhode Island.

His academic experiences include serving as Professor and Chairman of the Education Department at Saint Francis University of Pennsylvania, Dean of the New York School of Interior Design, Acting Dean of the Baker School of Business and Technology at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and Associate Director of the Berkley Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Stern School of Business, New York University and Director of the Executive MBA program at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

For 17 years, Frank has operated a business he founded based on hunting and fishing products he invented and marketed to stores such as Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Frank has published, lectured, and consulted nationally and internationally on topics related to the teaching and learning process, design, entrepreneurship, and textiles. While writing his text on textiles and textile technology, Fabric for the Designed Interior, he was named Writer-in-Residence at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution in New York City.
