Penn State York: An Entrepreneur Roundtable: By Invitation Only

Passionate about education and giving back to the communities he serves, Peter Ballantine is opening his restaurant--Willy's Originals Scratch Pizza and Craft Sandwiches--to entrepreneur students the day before it actually opens to the public. Celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week with Penn State York, Peter is hosting "An Entrepreneur Roundtable" at 12:15 pm at the Community Table in Willy's Originals, York Town Center, 2813 Concord Road, York.

No stranger to the food and hospitality industry, Peter will share an insider's look at his path to entrepreneurship, his passion for making a difference in the community, the value of providing locally sourced food with a special emphasis on freshness and taste, the challenges of food trends and starting a business, and his drive to make sure every guest to Willy's Originals experiences a feeling of "You've come home!"

Enjoy a delicious custom-made lunch, first-hand business insights and realities about bringing an idea to market, and a generous dose of inspiration to "Start something here" too!

To request an invitation, please contact Anne Deeter Gallaher at adg@deetergallahergroup.com.

Penn State York: Visit to Think Loud Development Center/United Fiber & Data
The Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies at Penn State York regularly offers presentations by entrepreneurs and leaders in our community to our students. For GEW, The Graham Center students will visit Think Loud Development, a venue that is part of the revitalization of downtown York.

Focused on urban revitalization, Think Loud's projects serve to enhance culture, civic pride and the environment. Their highly publicized projects in York, Reading and Allentown represent an extraordinary effort to revitalize key urban areas in underserved parts of the Commonwealth. With more than 450,000 square feet of ongoing construction and a growing portfolio of Pennsylvania real estate, the company is dramatically impacting the local communities of York, Allentown, and Reading, with sights set on Lancaster as well. Think Loud’s current investments total over $50 million. Seeing bricks and mortar as only a shell to house the potential within, Think Loud combines inspired development, creative strategy, and a deep sense of social responsibility that ultimately contributes to viable downtown economies and revitalized communities. The Think Loud Development company was started by members of the music band LIVE, so the underlying rocker theme makes this event even cooler.
